Background
Trade can be an engine for prosperity and job creation. The low level of trade within the Arab region and its minimal share of international trade are areas of concern.
ESCWA promotes Arab trade integration at the intra and extra regional levels by estimating bilateral trade costs and export potential for Arab countries at the detailed product level, and disseminating these estimates to policymakers, exporters, and researchers across the region.
