The Committee brings together specialized member States representatives to tackle the key contribution of the energy sector in the Arab region’s socioeconomic development.
Committee on Social Development
The Committee identifies social priorities and follows up on the implementation of programmes to advance social development in the Arab region.
Committee on Technology for Development
The Committee follows up on technological developments and their localization to advance socioeconomic development in the Arab region.
Committee on Transport and Logistics
The Committee is a platform to enhance Arab regional integration and facilitate the flow of goods and passengers among countries and regions.
Committee on Water Resources
The Committee addresses the critical issue of water security in view of water scarcity in the Arab region.
Committee on Women
The Committee works for the empowerment of women and their increased participation at all levels of the development process in the Arab region.
Committee on Trade Policies
The Committee examines trade policy issues to support Arab States on the path towards greater regional integration and sustainable development.
The Technical Committee and the Committee on Liberalization of Foreign Trade and Economic Globalization are no longer active.
The Technical Committee, comprising high-level senior officials from member States, was formed in 2006 pursuant to the decision of the Commission at its twenty-fourth session to increase interaction and consultation between Commission members and the secretariat.
